To allow file copying and pasting, select “ More…” and proceed to step 4. I would like to keep that enabled to copy and paste text but as soon as I hit copy on a file, the file appears in my Downloads\Remote Desktop folder without my knowledge. I can copy from remote desktop to local but not from local to remote desktop. I have a remote linux desktop and I connect to it through mac high sierra. Question: Q: copy paste between mac and remote desktop. With Local Resources Clipboard enabled, it seems to copy files over to your downloads folder without your knowledge. If you just need the ability to copy and paste text and not files, stop here and click OK.
